Mama Mia, Milan!

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

I just got back from a day trip to Milan and I have so much to tell!

First of all, don’t plan on going to Milan an extended time period because it’s not what you think it is. There are a couple magnificent buildings and the designer houses all have shops there, but unless you’ve got bucket loads of money to spend for shopping then let me tell you won’t find what you’re looking for.…

Unfashionably Late

It’s been go-go-go here in Amsterdam. I can’t even keep up with my own schedule lately. Anyway, here’s a short one:

Hallo! (dutch hello)

This past week I’ve visited the “Central Park” of Amsterdam called Vondel Park. Having been in both I would say that Vondel’s lack of surrounding skyscraper scenery makes for a more relaxed and natural feel to the park. Another perk: modern sculpture…

Dolce ad = Netherlandish reality

Stop everything and get on a plane to the Netherlands! You’ve got to experience this for yourself. Trust me I’ve had the worst time finding pictures to explain everything.

I’ve had a fashion revelation since I reached Amsterdam about three days ago. For those of you uninformed on my summer shenanigans: I’m here attending the University of Amsterdam studying art history all summer through…

Here we have it. Haven’t Erinn and I been telling you how important jewel tones are? Well if you don’t believe us, then believe W magazine which plasters them all over their June/July 2014 issue as a push for fall’s fashion. Though, Emeralds, Sapphires, and Ruby’s aren’t coming into style in the traditional format I expected. Paired with metallics, these hues are coming back…

Work it out

Most recently, I’ve gotten into hiking! Here are a couple of reasons why you should too:

1. If your hike is long enough and steep enough you’re sure to get a fabulous workout going up and down the trail. I didn’t think that hiking was such a big deal when I went on a few shorter trails. My most recent hike was only 3 miles and I was definitely breaking a sweat!

What’s the Met Gala?

What’s the Met Gala?

This years met gala was certainly a bit toned down from last years punk theme. Not to worry, this year’s theme “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” had a wide range of looks from edgy to ultra femme. I was chatting with a few friends at the lunch table today when I realized that a lot of people don’t actually know what the Met Gala is or why it is important. So here’s a little 101 for those of you who…

It’s all about Mary

It’s all about Mary

Adidas recently released the news that that they would be partnering up with London-based designer Mary Katrantzou to create a collection!

For those of you unfamiliar with Katrantzou’s work, she is known for her bright and intricate prints and unique constructions. Her style would fit ideally with the pizzaz that sportswear design requires. I can already imagine the abstract leggings and unique…
